As an Environmental Analyst, my role at Promar enables me to help our clients achieve more sustainable practices, while increasing their business efficiency. I was reared on a dairy farm in south Warwickshire and formally educated in Agriculture at Harper Adams University College. However, my real education for my consultancy role has come from the hundreds (if not now thousands!) of dairy farmers I have had the privilege to meet and work with over the 30 + years of my career. My satisfaction comes from helping to find solutions to the challenges of modern farming systems in sustainable ways for the farming family, the cows and the environment.
I am a Research and Data Analyst for Promar International and I joined the company in March 2017. I’m originally from a mixed livestock farming background in Devon (dairy, beef, sheep and pigs) and I also have more than 20 years of experience in the practical and financial aspects of managing an agricultural business. Since joining Promar I have […]

Gaining this role was a natural progression for me after previously working within the finance department in Genus along-side my AAT Accounting studies. I am from Wiltshire and studied at the Warwickshire College of Agriculture. Previously I owned 250,000 broilers and a stud farm where I enjoyed breeding and showing ponies. I am often recommended throughout the farming communities for my accounting knowledge.
For corporate clients I analyse data to allow customers to decide on future business strategy, based on insights into the analysis of their suppliers’ performance, using Promar’s Farm Business Accounts software. My main role is the aggregation of suppliers’ data to assess financial costs, determining overall costs of production and collating data. This then provides […]

Testimonials
“Garry Kidner is our Promar farm business consultant, he works alongside us, formulating rations, preparing budget forecasts and monitoring business performance. The FBA package is excellent for providing comparison to budget and to previous years as well as generating KPI’S for benchmarking. We regard his input as vital to our farming success.”

“Charlotte visits us once a month, to complete our VAT return for us. On this visit she ensures our accounts are up to date and accurate and prints out reports to help us to construct our forward cashflow plan. Charlotte also sends the information over to our Promar consultant Emma Thompson, who then uses the data to assist us with making management decisions, and to our accountant at the end of the year to build the base of our tax accounts. I would highly recommend Promar to anyone wanting to grow and develop their business.”

“Charlotte has been coming to us for the past 3 and a half years, she provides a highly efficient service, completing our VAT returns and year end accounts. After each monthly visit she sends the data over to our accountant so they are able to complete quarterly tax accounts. More recently Charlotte introduced us to Mark Roue who we now have as our consultant, helping us drive the business forward. Charlotte and Mark work closely together to ensure the visits are effective and that the relevant information is shared with each other.”

“We use Andrew as a sounding board for our business. He provides detailed financial assessments and projections for the business and this helps us to challenge and question our decision making at every opportunity. We would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew’s services to other farmers.”
