{"id":2292,"date":"2019-11-16T12:58:51","date_gmt":"2019-11-16T12:58:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www-dev.promar-international.com\/?p=2292"},"modified":"2019-11-16T12:58:51","modified_gmt":"2019-11-16T12:58:51","slug":"market-research-and-supply-chain-analysis-for-the-fresh-produce-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www-dev.promar-international.com\/it\/market-research-and-supply-chain-analysis-for-the-fresh-produce-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Market research and supply chain analysis for the fresh produce sector"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Western &amp; Eastern Europe  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The brief:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our client is a Central America based trade &amp; promotional agency and wanted to understand more about the opportunities for their industry in Europe.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also wanted to have a more robust assessment of the fresh produce market opportunity available to a range of key industry stakeholders and the justification for a promotional campaign at some stage in the future.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Our work covered the EU 28, other East European markets and Russia.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we did:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p> We carried out a series of stages of research as follows:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A review of global production and key trends over the last 10 years <\/li><li>A review of global import markets over the last 10 years and the role of the EU within this <\/li><li>A breakdown of EU imports over 10 years by key country <\/li><li>The performance of key suppliers to the EU market from the Southern hemisphere, Central America, from within the EU itself and Africa\/Middle East <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the countries of most importance and future potential \u2013 the following:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li> The structure of the market <\/li><li>The role of key players in the supply chain <\/li><li>The breakdown of the market by key varieties <\/li><li>An assessment of the seasonality of supply by other countries  <\/li><li>The regulation of the market <\/li><li>The Service Package required to supply these markets<\/li><li>The reputation of current suppliers to the EU market <\/li><li>An assessment of the promotional culture of the market and ongoing activity in this space <\/li><li>The development of a market SWOT analysis <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Outcome <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\nWe developed an overall EU market SWOT and prepared an Action Plan for our client to enter selected markets and carry out promotional activity with key supply chain players as a result of our work. \n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Western &amp; Eastern Europe The brief: Our client is a Central America based trade &amp; promotional agency and wanted to understand more about the opportunities for their industry in Europe.
